Teaching and Learning

A warm welcome back!

We were delighted to see so many happy faces walking through the gates on Monday and teachers are relishing having their students back onsite in the classroom. Although our teachers worked hard at differentiating learning, providing feedback and maintaining connection, there is nothing as powerful as face-to-face learning. We continue to be grateful for the enormous commitment that learning from home has presented throughout this year and we need our families to know that as a result of your tireless support, our children are well-placed to resume their learning path in the classrooms.

Now that we are back onsite...

Classroom teachers will be devoting extra time every day to quality teaching and learning experiences that target individual children and their individual learning needs. This extra learning will be in the areas of literacy and numeracy. We aim to focus on the wellbeing, learning and engagement of all of our children by tailoring quality experiences that motivate and build both learning confidence and learning achievement.

How can you continue to support your child's learning at home?

  • Be interested and ask them about their day at school
  • Speak about school and learning with a positive mindset
  • Encourage your child to read at home every day
  • Enjoy spending quality time with your child

We look forward to sharing this final term with you and your child and celebrating the learning achievements of 2020.
