Year 6 Yearbook

One of my favourite things about SKiPPS is the wonderful contribution that our Year 6 students make to our school life. By running assemblies, Market Day, supporting COTA and running a whole range of other community initiatives through our Leadership program, our oldest students always make a huge impact in our school and step up to be school leaders we are proud to send off to secondary school each December.

The restrictions imposed by COVID this year have been especially tough on this year level as so many of these opportunities have had to be cancelled. Our December graduation is also not going to be able to take place in the format that we have been able to enjoy in previous years.

Instead, the Year 5/6 teachers have been working with a small group of parents to create an amazing yearbook which will allow each child to contribute and serve as a momento of their time at SKiPPS.

We have already begun work using an online service called Fusion which uses the Canva platform to create a professional product.

To help us make this book look fantastic we would love the help of any parents with skills in online graphic design to support us to create some page templates that the students can then login and use.

Sub-committees

Our school has a number of permanent working groups called sub-committees. These groups are made up of staff members and dedicated parents who meet ten times a year with a focus to make our school a better place.

Sub-committees are open for anyone to join and rely on the energy, ideas and hard work of parents to improve the school experience for all of our students.

With COVID-19 restrictions, all meetings are currently held via Zoom so why not join one of our upcoming meetings to find out more and get involved?
