Year 6
Year 6 Unit of Inquiry - Who We Are
Earlier this term, Year 6 concluded the Who We Are Unit of Inquiry, researching into how Different cultures are influenced by many factors. Through their investigation of different countries around the world, the people, land, customs and culture, the students gained perspective on how Australia has been impacted by immigration.
One of the tasks that many of the children embraced, was to share their knowledge of the cuisine of a specific country, by creating a ‘MasterChef’ instructional video. We had presentations of delicious recipes such as Danish Aebleskiver (donuts), Icelandic ginger stars (biscuits), Italian spaghetti bolognaise, pizza and gnocchi, Nutella fondant, Malva pudding, Nasi Goreng, Kedgeree from Scotland, Brazilian peanut candy, Peking duck, Danish butter cookies, tortillas, churros and many more!
