Year 8

In year 8  the students are exploring the concept of the ancient blog. The Pillow Book is a personalised account of life at the Japanese court by Sei Shonagon.

“must say, if ever I do come across a man who seems to feel for me at all, I immediately assume he’s actually quite shallow-hearted, so I have no need to expose myself to potential embarrassment.”

― Sei Shōnagon, The Pillow Book

Year 9

Students in year 9 are exploring government and democracy, the students will create a political party based on current political issues and will perform in a government debate. Who knows we might uncover the next Sco-Mo or Dan ‘the man’ Tehan.

Year 10

VCE – Calibration week

Week 10 of term 2 sees the introduction of calibration week. This is an opportunity for validation of results obtained during the remote period. This time might be used to run unit 3 exams, or additional tasks to support earlier results. For each humanities strand this might look slightly different so please speak with your classroom teacher
