Cadets 

As the holidays fast approach and steps are being put into place for Cadets to return in Term 3, I ask that over the holidays all cadets check their uniform and ensure you have all items including boots, trousers, shirt and bush hat. If you have grown over the Term 1 holidays and remote learning time, please contact Mrs. Fotheringham to arrange a time to exchange any items. This may happen in early Term 3, however this needs to be completed before the first cadet day back.

At this stage Cadet online learning will continue Monday and Thursday evenings depending on your cadet level. CAPT. Byron will continue to send out the meeting codes on a Sunday evening for the following week and will also let you know when this program has ceased. 

I would like to thank BNCUO Alyssa Neeson (Monivae Yr 12 student) who has been a driving force behind the Remote Learning as the 32 Battalion CUO. She has been paramount in not only getting this program off the ground but has also been the host to each meeting ensuring that there has been a cadet leader presenting the program. Alyssa has also looked after the ‘meeting room’ to ensure that only Cadets join the Zoom virtual platform.

The JLC – Junior Leadership course starts next Tuesday with this year taking on a new structure due to COVID 19. The cadets will complete the theory program online, being sent short presentations to watch and then answer questions. This will be over 2 weeks as they will run the pre JLC course (Lance Corporal) from 16th June then the JLC from 29th June. I wish all cadets who have nominated for this course all the best. If any cadets are experiencing difficulties with any phase of the course please ask for assistance from your Platoon staff or ask CAPT Byron or myself.

Ex Emu is still very much being planned for September. We encourage all cadets to consider attending Emu especially after the Monivae Annual Camp was cancelled. If this exercise is cancelled due to COVID 19 Restrictions cadets will be notified.  An email will be sent out with details regarding your nomination for Ex Emu 2020.
