STATES OF MATTER

Year 8 students have been studying the States of Matter - Solids, Liquids and Gases. They investigated how things alter states through evaporation, condensation, melting and freezing. Great job Year 8 doing Science at home in your kitchens!

YEAR 9 TONGUE TWISTERS

Year 9 Science students have been studying the brain, it's parts and their functions. This week they focused on the Temporal Lobe (part of the cerebral cortex). One of the Temporal lobe functions is auditory perception and speech, so students and staff have been attempting to say some Tongue Twisters. They did a pretty good job!How about giving them a go for yourselves.......?

Initially, students had to build and test several O-Wing gliders to investigate the effect of wing size on flight performance.

And then, devise their own experiment to find out how the length of the straw affected the performance of the O-Wing glider.
