Swinburne’s law school offers an undergraduate program that focuses on commercial law with emphasis on intellectual property law, and it is the only degree in Victoria with this specialisation. 

Focused on commercial law, with a distinct emphasis on intellectual property, technology, and innovation, it offers students a degree that stresses practical skills and real-world experience.  Students complete law-related professional experience placements at organisations in Australia or overseas. Students are also introduced to the practical aspects of legal practice through moot court scenarios and advocacy exercises.

The Swinburne Bachelor of Laws program is fully accredited by the Council of Legal Education in Victoria and offers students the option of a single degree or combined program with arts, science, business, or engineering.  The VCE prerequisites are Units 3 and 4 – a study score of at least 30 in EAL or 25 in any English other than EAL.

Bachelor of Accounting and Business Information Technology (Professional)

Sponsored by leading Australian organisations, this course offers students a scholarship worth approximately $40,000 for the duration of their studies. 

Students in this course will be prepared for careers combining management and leadership with accounting and business information technology specialisation.

Students spend two 20-week periods in the accounting and business information technology industries learning how to guide investment decisions, develop operating strategies and evaluate business performance. This degree is degree that's professionally accredited by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), and CPA Australia.
