Remote Learning - Wellbeing Book

Hopefully students in Years 3-10 will have received their Wellbeing book. Some great ideas in here to give you some 'brain breaks' and coping strategies to help you out.

Students in Foundation - Year 2 will be working on theirs once they return to school next week.

A big thanks to Mrs Eastwood, Primary Welfare Officer, for putting this fantastic resource together for the students.

Returning to school

No doubt everyone is counting down the days until they get back to a normal routine. Especially for our younger students, its important to talk to them about this, so they aware and prepared for the change ahead. Have positive conversations to help prepare them and be ready to return. Perhaps get a visual countdown going.

Get the kids involved in packing up all their books, getting their uniform and bags ready, maybe in some back-to-school baking and most importantly getting them into bed early will help with the transition back into the school routine.

Remote Learning continues

Students in Years 3-10 continue in their learning from environments for another few weeks. Hopefully by now they are settled in to an established routine (sleep, eat, work, move, repeat) that works for them.

To help them get through the work, its a good idea to set some goals, both short and long term, achievable goals. By doing this it will make tackling big and overwhelming tasks seem less daunting and more achievable.

Don't forget if they work hard, they need to be rewarded! It will help them stay motivated. Perhaps suggest they choose something they enjoy to do once they've completed a task.

It's also important to make time for activities that promote positive mental health and wellbeing - talk to a friend, a random act of kindness, be grateful for the simple things in life, listen to some music, sing, dance, whatever makes you happy!

Students and parents are doing so well at this difficult time! There is a light at the end of the tunnel and the return to school date is now set!!

Remember your teachers are here to help and support you, reach out to them if you need assistance in any way.

State Schools Relief - Subsidized Winter Uniform Packs for Foundation Students

Due to the current difficult times there are likely many school families who will benefit from a helping hand right now. State Schools Relief are an organization that do just that by providing free or subsidised essential uniform items right across the State.

Please note when ordering uniform, do not enter child’s shoe size. This will be measured at school.

If any school families experience a reduction of income before July, ensure to fill in and return the CSEF form to the College Office.

If your circumstances don't qualify your child access using the criteria outlined on the forms attached but you are in need of support,  please discuss with Primary Welfare Officer, Vanessa Eastwood E: vanessa.eastwood@education.vic.gov.au
