At home with some of our primary students

Toby Munn planted some coriander seeds for his mum and a lettuce base which he put in water for a week and has now planted it to see if it reshoots.

Jack and Harry Smith were very excited to share a picture of their produce from their vegetable garden. Jack has been growing tomatoes and  Harry has been growing cucumbers. The Smith family have also extended their vegetable garden and now have an apple, peach and mandarin tree. Jack and Harry are very excited to see them all grow! Harry Smith has also been looking after his chickens.

Bailey O’ Brien made placemats with each of his family members favourite meal drawn on them. He set the table in his own style and helped serve tea.

Bailey has also been busy feeding his chooks, with a little help from his naughty dog Suzi, who likes to check out the contents of the chook bucket before the chooks!

Bailey, Bridie and Tayler Hartas have been doing their Agriculture class at home by looking after their chickens. They have been collecting the eggs from the chickens, cleaning the water trays and topping up the feed for their chickens. They also cleaned out the bird cage as well.

They have been watering their vegetable garden with Seasol and have noticed that some of their strawberries are beginning to grow!

The children also made chalk paint out of cornflour, water and food colouring, which they decorated their driveway with.  The children also tie dyed some long sleeve tops in neon colours which the children were very excited with their final product!

Adelle Joubert has been busy in the veggie garden, digging up some of Declan's carrot crop! She has also been enjoying spending time with her chickens, taking one on a daily bike ride around the paddock!

Food Technology Electives

Students in Years 8-10 have continued to produce some mouth-watering dishes for their families.

Jack Maund baked some Chocolate Muffins for his Cafe Culture elective.

Erin Ewer made some cinnamon scrolls for her Fermentation Elective.

For all the students from Foundation to Year 10, I am so proud of all the activities that you have been involved in whilst learning at home.

Thank you to all the families who have supported their children, and shared their learning with me.
