Kings Park Campus Principal Message

We welcomed students back to Kings Park on Tuesday the 9 of June.
Students
Students quickly settled into our new ways of working bringing their devices to every class and lining up in the marked areas outside of classrooms. I saw many students using the sanitisation stations throughout the day. The staggered class times seem to be working to reduce congestion at the locker areas. In Period 1 we had a whole school activity working with the Return to School Behaviour Matrix. This makes explicit all the new practices and procedures for minimising the risk of the spread of COVID19.
Please bring a water bottle to school.
All students enjoyed a sausage sizzle on this day which was organised by Mary Scott, Courtney and Jade. The Year 10 Advanced class helped them cook up over 700 snags and feed the entire student population. Thank you Mary, Courtney and Jade.

Well worth watching!
Parents
Thank you for your efforts during remote learning to help us keep your children engaged in learning. Please maintain this partnership with the school and the teachers of your child. Use email, phone calls or Compass to contact teachers or the front office in the first instance and avoid coming to the front office. This will help us keep the community safe and minimise unnecessary contact with our buildings and community.
We have had so much success with technology to enhance the learning program and ask that your child continues to bring their devices to every class.
It is important that if your child has flu-like symptoms that they do not come to school.
The pathways team organised a Parent Information Evening for year 9 families on Tuesday, 16 June. We used Video Conferencing software with the intention of the session to assist students as they transition into year 10.
Buildings and Facilities
The bin enclosure has been fenced and a new gate installed.
Sanitisation Stations are in place in multiple places around the College.
Paper towels and extra soap dispensers have been installed in all student toilets.
New paving work has been completed on the Tram side of L-Team.
Under a very short timeline these external paths were set up for us to allow access to L-Team through the external doors and reduce congestion in other areas.
