School Wide Positive Behaviour
School Wide Positive Behaviours (SWPB) is the framework in which the whole college community continues to develop a positive climate for learning. During remote learning and our return to on-site we have had a weekly focus on different behaviours within our positive behaviour matrix.
They are as follows:
'I will be safe and responsible when using the internet.'
'I will talk about myself and others in a positive way online.'
'I will be safe and responsible online'
'I will come to class ready to learn'
'I maintain a positive and curious mind.'
'I will seek to continuously improve my skills'
'I will seek out new knowledge and ideas with enthusiasm.'
And our main focus since on-site learning has been:
“I will arrive on time with all the correct learning equipment”
As classroom and home group teachers we continue to explicitly teach these behaviours to students and positively reward and reinforce when they demonstrate this within the school community.
This term teachers have continued to send positive communication home to parents, thus continuing to build a positive climate for learning and student connectedness to the college. This has contributed significantly to the safe, orderly learning environment at ECSC, especially since our return to on-site learning.
Finally on behalf of the Middle School Leadership Team, I would like to thank all parents and guardians for their continuing support, especially during these often unpredictable and challenging times.
