Team Leader’s Message

This marks the end of one of the strangest and most interesting terms for all of us, staff, students and parents alike. In a series of unprecedented events we will all be able to say that we were part of a significant piece of History that students will learn about for years to come.

Year 11 and 12 students engaged in the  VCAL program were able to adjust to an online remote learning program with ease  as they were already learning and building on their knowledge and skills of real world experiences. It was certainly due to a magnificent effort on the part of the students and their families that we saw such a high level of engagement in the program. Well done to everyone involved.

On returning to school, students smoothly transitioned back to school based learning. As a team the staff were extremely proud  of  how well they coped. Students were extremely happy to return to school and spend time with their friends.

Whilst many of our programs are still experiencing disruptions, staff and students are adapting to our programs in new and exciting ways from virtual excursions to WebEx guest speakers.

Most VET courses have been able to recommence with our external partners. Structured Work placements will also return next term.

It has been an interesting Semester filled with highs and lows. Congratulations to all students and their families for their resilience and strength during this time.

Enjoy the school holidays, they are well deserved and take care.
