Christmas Carols & BBQ Picnic - Thursday 8 December 6pm - 8pm

Next Thursday 8 December we welcome back our annual Christmas Carols and BBQ picnic. This will be held out on the oval (weather permitting). Each class will perform a Christmas Carol, with our Nativity Play weaved throughout the event. There will be a BBQ picnic at the conclusion of the Carols. Thanks to our PA for providing the BBQ. 

Please BYO chairs, food and drinks for your family to share.  

Due to the new Child Safety Standards, no alcohol is permitted to be consumed at school events whilst children are present. Thanks for your understanding with this.   

Please note - If the weather is not kind to us, this will be held in the Church, without the picnic or BBQ. 

To our WONDERFUL PA Members...

A VERY BIG thank you to all our PA members who have supported us in 2022.  As a school we greatly appreciate all PA members for your hard work, support and significant contributions this year. Thanks also to our fabulous Class Reps who have done an AMAZING job in 2023, as we regained our socialness and brought back our wonderful PA school events. In particular, I thank Caroline O'Sullivan (President), Sarah Rush (Vice President), Jess Marchio (Secretary), Elisa Sapuppo and Thespina Samartzis (Treasurers) for all their work and energy as PA Executive members. 

I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank the following parents who are stepping down from their roles at the end of the year. 

Many thanks to Caroline O’Sullivan for all her work as PA President over the last 3 years. Caroline has led our PA with distinction during this time and we are most grateful for her leadership and generosity during this challenging time. 

I would also like to acknowledge and thank Jess Marchio for all her work as Secretary over the last 3 years who is also stepping down from this role at the end of the year. Thanks for always keeping us up to date and on track over this time.  

I would also like to acknowledge and thank Thespina Samartzis for all her work as Treasurer over the past 4 years as Thespina and her family end their time here at Sacred Heart Kew. Thanks for expertly balancing the books, ensuring that funds were always correct after each and every event.

Sacred Heart Kew is all the richer for having such dedicated and generous parents serving our school in this space. Thank you Caroline, Jess and Thespina for your tireless work. All your efforts have been greatly appreciated.  

Parents' Association Annual General Meeting

Last week at our PA AGM, nominations were put forward for the following vacant positions. 

• President
• Secretary
• Treasurer

I am pleased to announce that in 2023, the PA Executive will consist of:

President - Elisa Sapuppo

Vice President - Sarah Rush

Secretary - Lucinda Hobson

Treasurer - Emma Lai (and Elisa Sapuppo will be joint treasurer until a co-treasurer is appointed)

Thanks also to those parents who are considering taking on the Class Representatives roles next year.
