Year 6 Treetops
On Monday 12 December, our Year 6's ziplined and walked on tight ropes through the trees at Treetops Adventure in Belgrave. The day was a celebration of their final year at Sacred Heart Kew.
Year 6 Graduation
Last night the Year 6 students celebrated their time at Sacred Heart with a delicious dinner with their families and staff. The night highlighted student achievements and the graduates shared their favourite moments at Sacred Heart Kew.
Thank you to the Year 6 PA Reps, Caroline Touzeau, Colleen Leyden, Rebecca Filippin and Bec Breheny, for organising such a memorable night for the children and families. Thank you to the Year 5 parents who helped serve food and drinks throughout the night.
A huge thank you to the Year 6 teachers, Alyssa Privitelli, James Millane and Matt O'Shea, for planning the evening and most importantly, guiding and supporting the students in their final year.
Thank you to our Visual Art teacher, Nicole Burnes, for working with the Year 6 students on the Skateboard Decks, the graduation project this year. This project integrated the reflective writing students completed in the classroom with their artmaking. The integration of this work culminated in a visual reflection of the students' time at primary school, and their thoughts, feelings and ideas about the move to secondary school. They used symbolism to represent ideas, memories and feelings through art.
