Food and Wellbeing

With Christmas right around the corner, we are approaching a season of yummy treats. There is something so magical and meaningful about enjoying food during this time of year.  Food is so important for our wellbeing.  This season I encourage you all to think about the ways that food can positively impact our wellbeing.  I have listed some ways below:

Preparing food with family and friends:  Preparing food can be a relationship building and bonding activity. There are so many skills involved in preparing food, and it is hard work.

Eating nutritious meals:  Our diet massively impacts our health. The more colourful plate we have the better, we need a rage of vitamins and kinds of nutrients.

Sharing deep conversations over a meal:  Meal time is often the best time to have deep, good meaningful conversations with family and friends.
