Breaking the Ice: Having a conversation about Mental Health
In November, Youth Focus will be visiting Year 9 students with their workshop called “Having a Conversation about Mental Health”. This program will aim to increase the mental health literacy of students, help them to identify difficulties and develop their awareness and confidence to start a conversation with others about mental health.
To support the students and encourage conversations about mental health at home, parents and carers of all Trinity College students (regardless of year level) are invited to this Youth Focus parent workshop, which will provide statistics about mental health, anxiety, depression and suicide, information about the challenges of adolescence, advice about maintaining good physical and mental health, and strategies to help yourself or others.
For more information about this workshop, download the the below flyer.
