Student achievements

Congratulations to the following students: 

 Mila Hardaker and Martha Coleman-Crane (Year 3), who achieved outstanding results in the 2021 International Competition and Assessment for Schools (ICAS) in English. Mila and Martha were awarded medals for jointly receiving the top score in Tasmania for Junior School students. 

Ella Striker (Year 7), who was awarded Student of the Year in the CS in Schools program. The program, which was rolled out to Year 7s at SMC this year, helps students to develop their digital technology and coding skills. 

Emma Grubb (Year 9) and Isobel Gray (Year 8), who competed at the Tasmanian Athletic League Richmond Carnival last weekend. Both girls performed exceptionally well, with Emma making the finals and winning the women’s 300m handicap event (by 0.02 seconds!). Excellent efforts by both girls!
