School Advisory Council (SAC)

School Advisory Committee – Update and AGM 30 November at 7.30pm

The School Advisory Committee meets every term to discuss items of interest to the school community.  Membership includes the Principal and Deputy Principal, the Parish Priest, a PFA Representative and 4-6 members who represent school families. 

At the most recent meeting on 19 October 2021 Margaret spoke about the school's COVID procedures and regulations, and response to possible infections in the school community. 

At the meeting we also planned for our AGM on 30 November 2021.  We are looking for some new families to join the SAC as some of our current members’ terms are up. 

For the last two years these meetings have been held virtually once a term on a weeknight and run for about 1.5hours.   It is an opportunity to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes at the school and to contribute to discussion about future opportunities at      St Anthony’s.  Items discussed have included school enrolments and promotions, changes to the management of Catholic Schools, funding, uniforms and new initiatives. 

It is a small time commitment but an important connection between families and the school.  No experience or skills required – we welcome everyone to consider joining the SAC in 2022.

St. Anthony’s School Advisory Council Nomination Form 2022 - 2023

Nomination forms must be submitted to the St. Anthony’s School Office by 3pm Friday, 26th November 2021.

Nominees will be notified if an election is required. The election will be held via ballot.

If successfully elected committee members will be expected to attend all SAC meetings.
