Principal Report

What A Year!!!

As a very unique 2020 school year draws to a close we would like to acknowledge and thank our wonderful parent community. The commitment & support you demonstrated, the partnerships you formed with our teachers to facilitate learning in your homes and your ability to deliver online lessons whilst juggling many other challenges that Covid 19 presented, was above and beyond expectations and greatly appreciated.

We would also like to congratulate our amazing students on their resilience throughout 2020. Their ability to quickly adapt to the very changing and challenging times, their commitment to learning remotely and the seamless way they have slotted back into normal routines and practices when back onsite this term has been exceptional. It has certainly been terrific to be back connecting with each other and participating in school routines whilst witnessing the learning taking place in our classrooms each and every day.

To the dedicated staff who worked tirelessly to ensure our students were catered for, engaged and remained connected during remote learning and when back onsite whilst also offering support, guidance and care to their students and families we Thank You.

Our 135 Year 6 students have come to the end of their Oatlands journey and we feel confident they are well prepared and ready to move into the next phase of their education. We wish them all the very best for 2021 and the future. To our 74 families whose association with us ceases we thank you for entrusting us with your children.

This year Oatlands bids farewell to the following teachers; Hannah Roche, Simon Chamberlain and Desiree Rento. We wish them all the best with their future endeavours.

We would like to welcome new staff to Oatlands: Charlotte Harper, Emily Cox, Jake Cutting and Ranjit Virk and returning staff: Katherine Arnold, Jo Soun, Ema Garic, Jessica Ohis, Tanya Shave and Kara Ellis. We are looking forward to 2021.

To all who are reading this we thank you for your continued support and hope you and your families have a fabulous break. To those who celebrate Christmas we hope it's a merry one and we look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
