STUDENT SAUSAGE SIZZLE SELLS OUT!
In an effort that would have given the local Bunnings a run for its money... on a scintillating summer’s day, the CHS entrepreneur leaders treated their fellow students to a captivating culinary experience at Coburg Swimming Pool.
Whilst the stall fed the very hungry students, it also raised much needed funds for the Student Entrepreneur program.
For those who are unfamiliar with the program, its purpose is to create multiple student led enterprise opportunities to be made available to the school community in 2021. The primary aim of the program is to successfully establish profitable student led businesses, whilst increasing student agency throughout the various cohorts.
Our first business endeavour involves establishing a student operated cafe out of the existing sport shop (think hole in wall cafe in Degraves Street). It is through this cafe that students will have the opportunity to obtain barista training and hospitality skills they can take with them into the workforce and beyond.
But for this to be possible we need your help…... The student entrepreneur club is currently seeking donations to make the space operational. At present we require; a sandwich press, coffee machine, toaster, blender, as well as milk crates, paint or outdoor furniture.
If you have any of these items lying around or would like to get involved in the program please contact me.
