Absences

The way to report your student’s absences in 2021 is changing.  

Parents are asked to now report all absences directly onto Compass themselves.  By doing this, teachers will have immediate access to your absence and can easily track who has given the permission for your student’s absence. It also means we have immediate knowledge that the student is under the parent’s care.

Completing an absence note on Compass is quite simple and replaces the need to write a note , email the Attendance Officer, or call the Absence Line.  If you are not sure how to enter an absence note on Compass have a look at these easy to follow instructions. 

Just a reminder you need to report an absence for your student whenever s/he is :  

• absent for one or more days
• arriving late to school
• leaving school early
• leaving during the day and later returning to school
