VCE Summer School

Year 11 and Year 12 students of 2021

We are writing to you as Directors of the University of Melbourne Student Union VCE Summer School. The VCE Summer School is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit, two-week tutoring program which provides students with an inspiring and practical introduction to their VCE years.

In 2021, the VCE Summer School will run from Monday 11 January – Friday 22 January and will be held online due to current Covid-19 safety measures.

The program is run at minimal cost to participants; $50 in 2021 and we can assist students in finding bursaries to help meet these costs. Our aim is to ensure that any student who wants to attend is able to do so, regardless of their situation.

Our academic program gives students the chance to get ahead on the content of their VCE subjects, as well as in developing skills such as exam preparation and study techniques. This year, the program will be run online to ensure the safety and access of all participants. Students will have the opportunity to build skills for the subjects they will be studying in 2021 through a mixture of online and offline activities led by volunteer tutors who are experts in their subject. What sets our program apart is our focus on motivating and encouraging personal growth through a series of workshops which cover a range of life skills and personal interests. In addition, we also run a range of fun activities to encourage a healthy study/life balance.
