Principal's Message

We continue to provide a wide range of experience for students at all Year levels.

There has been a great deal of focus on the Year 12's as they completed formal classes, were acknowledged at the Annual Awards Night, had a joyful Celebration Day and are now in full swing in VCE Examinations or finishing off VCAL modules. There has been a fantastic energy around the Year 12 cohort and they are completing their time at Marian in a wonderful spirit. We look forward to present them as Graduands of Marian College on 24 November at the Annual Year Graduation Mass and Dinner.

Year 10 and 11 Examinations are also just about to start and final preparations and revision classes have been held over the last few weeks. These examinations compliment the preparation that all students receive in the appropriate techniques in studying and sitting exams. Students should use this time as experience building and ensure that they continue to find the right balance between, study, exercise, good sleep and healthy eating habits.

It was great to hear the feedback from students in relation to excursions that they have recently attended. The Year 7 students visited the Melbourne Zoo with the experience focusing on the integration of a number of studies. The Year 10's attended an excursion to St Patrick's Cathedral and a service group called Frontyard which is an integrated service model that addresses the physical, emotional and social needs of people aged 12 to 24. It is heartening to hear the mature accounts of our students as they recounted what this experience meant to them. There is no doubt that they were touched in an emotional and spiritual level.

There is still much to look forward to as we move well into November. I thank the students and staff for the efforts that they bring to support the continued growth and developments at the College.
