Dr Carly Cook, a Conservation Biologist from Monash University, visited our Year 7 students last week to discuss conservation within Australia. 

This visit completes the Year 7 unit on Ecology; our students have been creating documentaries and researching ethical considerations of housing animals in zoos and conservation of endangered species. 

Year 11 Examinations

Our Year 11’s have been working diligently and undertaking their Unit 1 and 2 examinations. This is excellent preparation for their final year of study and we hope that the students have found some revision strategies that are useful. It is important to reflect upon the Year 11 exams now that they are finished, and make notes of what was successful and which areas need improvement. 

• Did you read each question carefully? 
• How was your time management? 
• Did the revision tool you used work for you? 
• Did you utilise your teacher and ask for help when it was required? 

These are some good starting questions to consider before you begin your Unit 3 and 4 transition classes next week.
