TRANSITIONING TO TECHONE

Over the next few weeks St Nicholas School will be transitioning to a new finance system.  These changes will include new ways in which you can make payments to the school, this will include Bpay, CompassPay and EFTPOS.  Current direct debit options will still be available for a limited time.  Our current bank account will be closing and therefore we will be asking parents to make payments to the school via one of these new functionalities.

Soon you will receive your new fee statement and included on the statement will be your new Bpay payment details.  You can easily set up regular payments from your bank account to the new school bpay account.

You can also make payments for School Fees and Events via the Compass App.  Please contact the School if you require assistance with the Compass App.

Our school will also have EFTPOS facilities available.  This means you will be able to make payments or purchases over the counter at the school rather than relying on cash.

BLOOMIN' GORGEOUS GARDENS

Spring has definitely sprung here at St Nicholas! With the blessing of so much rain, and with the hard work of so many enthusiastic students and teachers, our gardens are looking in tip-top shape.  Following a delivery of soil (and some messy fun), Year 4 now have their edible garden planted out within colourful painted tyres, whilst the Year 1 and Year 2 garden tubs continue to flower, flourish and delight each day. Our Infants students even discovered a big surprise for them in the garden yesterday..... picnic tables containing toy dinosaurs, farm animals and 'bits and bobs' for creative play!!! Thank you so much to the Year 6 students who worked hard on the tools to assemble these fabulous play benches.

WRITING SUCCESS CONTINUES

The standard of writing across all grades at St Nicholas continues to go from strength to strength. Take a look at a recent Big Write composition by Chase from Year One. Gold medal effort Chase!!

Poking out from his house in the overgrown tree sat Marshall, the cutest dog in the world. He had fluffy fur and a brown nose. He sniffed the air and could smell yummy pizza.... but he could not find it. One hour later as he ran around the whole island, he finally found the pizza! He could not resist it so he ate it. He loved it! Finally he went home and fell asleep in his comfortable bed. His work wasn't easy to do, but he was so proud of himself and he felt brilliant.

REMEMBRANCE DAY

On Remembrance Day Mrs Dunst took Carter, Ivy, Kate and I to the Town Hall were we laid a wreath on the 11th hour of the 11th month of the 11th day. When we got to the Town Hall Mrs Dunst gave us 4 poppies to put on our shirt and then we went to find our seats. We stood up in silence to remember the people who fought in the war and the people who protected their country. At the end we walked up the aisle and laid down the wreath. We felt honoured to be chosen to represent our school.
