Mother’s Day Stall

This stall is one of the P&F’s favourite activities. Children are given the opportunity to purchase their mother/grandmother/special women in their life a gift for Mother’s Day and it is our pleasure to see their smiling faces and proud demeaner as they make their purchase.

It’s simple really – send your child to school on this day with some money and a bag, then each class will be taken to the stall at different times throughout the day to make their purchase. If you have any concerns or questions relating to this event, please use the contact details at the end of this article. Thank you.

Mother’s Day Raffle

This year, at the Mother’s Day Assembly on Monday 9th May, we will be running a Mother’s Day Raffle. There are some great prizes up for grabs including, but not limited to – Bunnings Vouchers, F45 Vouchers, Floral Arrangement (@4eva_blooms) and assorted hampers. The raffle tickets will be sent home this week and cost $1 each. Vinnie’s Winter Appeal

“The society of St Vincent de Paul is an international voluntary organisation in the Catholic Church, founded in 1833 for the sanctification of its members by personal service of the poor… the Vinnie’s winter appeal aims to provide emergency relief to people at risk and experiencing homelessness,”

(wikipedia.org).

As Catholic people we aim to follow in the footsteps of such saints as ‘St. Vincent De Paul’ who was canonised by the catholic church for preaching missions to the peasantry and for running charitable events to assist the poor.

This year, over a 4-week period, we ask for your assistance in the collection of various items that will be donated to assist the homeless and those less fortunate than we are. Each grade level from foundation to grade 6 will be asked to donate specific items, which the P&F team (led by Josie Perri) will sort and organise for delivery to the St. Vincent De Paul Winter Appeal.

You will receive a flyer with all the necessary information shortly, and we thank you in advance for your generosity with this not-for-profit appeal.

St. Fidelis Pizza/Pasta Night

We are SO EXCITED to be hosting the annual St. Fidelis Parish Pizza/Pasta Night! In the past this event has been such a successful way to bring the community together in a relaxed, fun-filled environment with food, dance and lots of laughter.

  • Date: Saturday 18th June
  • Time: 7pm – 10pm
  • Cost: $25 per adult, $15 per child
  • Includes: Catering by Firenze Reception, Dessert and DJ.

Tickets will be available for purchase soon and you may BYO your own nibbles and drinks (including alcoholic). Keep an eye out for the event flyer, which will be sent home in the coming weeks. We hope to see you there!

Family Portrait Photo Fundraising Shoot

Luce & Co Photography along with St. Fidelis School are running a family portrait photo fundraising shoot. Families will be given the opportunity to participate in a photo shoot and purchase professional quality portraits at various prices. Details of this event will be released closer to the date and bookings will become available. There are only a limited number of bookings available, so if you’re in need of an updated family portrait please keep your eyes and ears open for event details.

Lunch Order Day AND Uniform Stall

The P&F are still finalising the dates & details for our Term 2 lunch order day and uniform stall. As soon as we have further information regarding these events, we will communicate them to you via the weekly article and SkoolBag App notifications.

Term 1 Fundraising Profit

What a successful Term 1 we had at St. Fidelis. As a school community we were able to celebrate various events together, which most importantly brought family and friends closer together with the added benefit of raising much needed funds for our school.

Thanks to all of you for your support throughout Term 1. As a P&F committee we work hard to plan the events/activities BUT are very grateful for any external support we receive. A HUGE thank you to the local businesses, Bunnings Coburg, The Village Bakery, Food Family Passion and Baker’s Delight for your support with our Term 1 fundraising efforts.

The funds raised above will go towards continued refurbishment of our school areas, towards resource purchases for our children and towards funding for the ‘Discovery Time’ program. Again, thank you and we look forward to a successful Term 2!
