Basketball Results
Year 2/3 GS Rockets
The GS Rockets battled hard against the Prescott Lions Wednesday afternoon. The opposition started well and a lack of defensive pressure by the Rockets saw us go in at half time 6-12. The team lifted in the second half and at one point we were only 5 pts down, but we were not able to close the gap. The final score was 10-19. Jake, Nate and Layla drove the ball forward multiple times and were all able to finish with great baskets, Eden again dominated the rebounds and Shaurya performed some great steals.
Scorers: Jake (4 pts), Eden, Layla and Nate (2 pts each).

Year 5/6 GS Nets
Last week saw the GS Nets play against the much bigger and stronger Prescott Thunder. We also welcomed Foster to the team. His speed up and down the court was amazing and he also scored his 1st goal of the season!
Edward and Levi performed some great intercepts and defence skills, and Ronil showed some great passing.
Everyone is certainly showing strong teamwork, unfortunately though we were outplayed by the height and experience of the opposition, going down 9-50.
Scorers: Levi (4 pts) Ronil and Foster (2 pts each) and Elijah (1 pt).
Our opposition this week was Pedare Year 6 Blue.
Well done Edward for scoring your first goals of the season! Final Score was 10-26.
Thank you also to our Norwood Training Coach Mark for coaching this week’s game due to coach and manager being stuck in isolation.
