School Improvement (Strategic) Plan

The School Board's focus in 2022, is on developing the next iteration of the School Improvement (Strategic) Plan.  The plan will guide the school’s development over the next three to five years.

You will have now received an email with a link to the Health Check survey.  Every voice is important and every voice is valued.  The survey closes on the final day of Term.

Learning Conversations

Information regarding these important opportunities to hear from and share with your child's teacher were included in the school newsletter last week.

An email has been sent to families with two or more students at school, which gives a link to access the booking sheet.

Please make your bookings by the end of this week.

Once these families have made their multiple booking times, an email will be sent to parents with only one student at school.

We encourage you to respond to the school email when you receive it, requesting you to book a time to meet with your child's teacher.

Communication between home and school is a high priority and we believe our Learning Conversations are placed perfectly to build connection and share the learning of your children at these early stages of the year.

Students in Stage 4 are requested to attend the Learning Conversation.

While it is not the preference of all, we ask that to engage in a face-to-face Learning Conversation all adults wear a mask. Our priority is to minimise risk as much as possible.

20 minute timeslots (15 minutes for conversation, 5 minutes to allow for transition) are available as follows:

Tuesday 12 April: 3.30pm to 5.30pm; 6.30 to 7.50pm

Wednesday 13 April:  11.00am to 12.40pm;  1.20 to 3.00pm; 3.40 to 5.20pm; 6.20 to 7.00pm.

Teachers will have a timer set up so the 5 minute transition can occur smoothly.  This is to alleviate sessions running late. We want  parents arriving on time to their next session.

Please note that Wednesday 13 April is a Pupil Free Day.  OSHC will be operating if you require child care.  Bookings can be made through 'Fully Booked'.

Entry into and exit from the school building will be through the front office.

What about students/families with Covid/in isolation?

We acknowledge that the isolation and Covid status of children/families will change between now and week 11, and we want to be flexible to meet the needs of these families. As you can appreciate, this will be complex and will be last minute. The school will make contact with you close to the interview days to support a conversation occurring.

Possible move to online conversations

As outlined previously, we will review the risk of face-to-face conversations and these will move to online if necessary. You will be given adequate notice and information about how this looks once a decision has been made. In the meantime, please book your times through the online booking system.
