Aitken Alumni

Class of 2016 – Five Year Reunion
Approximately sixty Alumni returned to the College on Friday 25 March for the FIVE year reunion of the Class of 2016, which would normally have taken place last year. Another COVID casualty! It meant that people were perhaps more keen than usual to reconnect. Five years plus beyond Aitken and these Alumni are building careers and ‘learning the ropes’ in a wide range of industries. A significant number of them are now qualified teachers and we take special delight in that fact knowing that great Aitken teachers have been their role models.

This reunion happened to fall on the birthday of the much loved and new retired Mr Luciano Bernes, who was visibly moved when produced with a huge cake and a rendition of Happy Birthday sung by all in attendance.
Apologies from another twenty-five Alumni who were either working, relocated interstate, travelling or with prior commitments indicate the growing strength of the Aitken Alumni group and an ongoing connection to the College. Special thanks to: Mr Perri, Mr Murphy, Mr Smith, Mrs Lilley, Mr Eleftheriou and Mr Cooper for their involvement during the evening.
