A snapshot of RE Learning in Prep HW
“Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus” (Luke 1:30-31).
In Prep we are celebrating the special women in our lives. Mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters and special friends. We are learning about the very special woman in the life of Jesus. We are so grateful for all the lessons that Mary has taught us. Through the stories of Jesus we are learning about Mary's compassion, patience, love and kindness. Together we came up with a list of qualities that Mary shows that we can aspire to in order to make our lives richer. Please see some of our thoughtful responses below.
Sunday Gospel
The liturgy of the Catholic Church provides a framework for reflection which is used by Catholics throughout the world. Each week in the newsletter, you will find the Sunday Gospel as well as some discussion questions to have with your child/ren.
A reading from the holy Gospel according to John
Jesus said:
‘The sheep that belong to me listen to my voice;
I know them and they follow me.
I give them eternal life;
they will never be lost
and no one will ever steal them from me.
The Father who gave them to me is greater than anyone,
and no one can steal from the Father.
The Father and I are one.’

Discussion Questions
- Do you know of anyone who has been lost?
- Who was worried?
- How was that person found?
- Jesus says to us that we can never really be lost for he knows each of us and will always care for us.
Let us pray that we may know and love Jesus more closely.
