Student Voice @ Monty

Student Voice @ Monty
At Montmorency Primary School, teachers are committed to providing students with opportunities to express their ‘student voice’ and exercise ‘learner agency’ in their various learning environments. When students have ownership over their learning, it is proven they will be more engaged and self-motivated to achieve goals and to further challenge themselves.
As an example of student voice and learner agency in Year 3/4, students have been completing a sustainability ‘action project’, where an issue relating to sustainability has been identified by students themselves, and a solution has been thought of and promoted within the school community. Students have been empowered to create positive change, and as a result have thoroughly engaged with this learning task as you can see below!
