Graffiti Education

Last week the chapel was filled with laughter and giggles as the Year 5 & 6 students learned about making choices that create a positive world, rather than a negative one. The City of Casey Grafitti Education program entertained and informed the students about how their choices affect others. This included graffiti and bullying behaviour.

2019 Halogen Young Leaders Day

Student leaders from both Heritage College Primary campuses travelled into Melbourne last Monday to attend the Halogen Young Leaders Day Conference.

After an adventurous journey into the city via train, students settled in for a highly engaging and inspiring day at the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre.

Speakers challenged students to set big goals, get out of their comfort zone, to believe in their dreams and work hard toward their goals.

Buzzing Scientists Light Up Their World

Students in Year 6 have been ‘electrified’ about their study of how electrical energy can be transferred and transformed into other forms of energy.

They studied electrical circuits and compared the advantages and disadvantages of parallel and series circuits. Students assessment including drawing circuit diagram designs and making a live working circuit that transferred chemical energy into light and heat energy.

Well done scientists!
