AUTHOR VISIT

Tamsin Janu

Tamsins' visit was wonderful for the students to listen and experience a published author.

A few tips from Tamsin:

..... Always keep a journal or notebook with you to jot down those ideas and experience you may have, especially on holidays.

..... Use the 5 senses to help you to develop the character and plot

.... If you can't think of anything to jot down go and do something else for a while then come back and try again.

Tamsin commented on how attentive and welcoming the students were.

Thankyou to Library Leaders, Mikeeli and Maggie for greeting Tamsin in reception, showing her to the library then taking her on a whirlwind but packed with information, tour of our school. Tamsin was very impressed with our environment.

Tamsin Janu Writing Workshop

Tamsin Janu’s writing workshop was awesome. She was very kind and funny. She really helped improve our writing and our skills. It was lots of fun. Tamsin Janu has definitely inspired us all! She told us about herself and how she came to write the books she did, and how she did them so well. It was something very special and we were all lucky to be there!

What The Experience Was Like

We thought Tamsin Janu’s writing workshop was a new experience because we had never had tips from a real-life author before. We  learnt lots of new things about writing a good story. We also liked how Tamsin always wrote her stories after she had went away somewhere.
