District Swimming Competition

Year 3 - 6 Students

On Friday 17th February the Karoo District Swimming Team competed against 7 others schools in the Rowville District at Monash Aquatic Centre. The selected students participated in a range of events, including team events for the medley and freestyle relays, as well as individual events for the strokes of freestyle, backstroke, breastroke and butterfly. Despite the weather, I was extremely impressed with how the students conducted themselves, both in and out of the swimming pool. The students put in their best effort, and for that, I take enormous pride as the Physical Education Teacher. Thank you to all of the parents who supported the students on the day. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing you cheer aloud for your own child and the other representatives of the Karoo District Swimming Team.

Well done to Aden T (6M) and Mitchell H (5D) who will now progress through to the Division Swimming Competition for their achievements in the individual events of backstroke. I would like to extend my congratulations to The Basin Primary School for achieving the highest points combined on the day.
