This award goes to Kirk for his effort in his writing this week. Kirk worked very hard to complete a writing piece this week. It was fantastic to listen to how passionate Kirk was about his writing topic.

Jhett M. - 1/2C

This award goes to Jhett for using his class time effectively this week. Jhett demonstrated whole body listening, followed all instructions and worked hard during all tasks. We love having you in 1/2C Jhett! Keep up the great work!

Congratulations Brodie for working on displaying a persistent and positive attitude towards writing his acrostic poem. Well done and keep up the good work!

Jesse W. - 3/4B

This award goes to Jesse for his fantastic attitude towards his learning. Jesse has loved reading his Good Fit books and practising identifying which vowel sound he can hear in writing. He completes tasks with a smile on his face and a positive attitude. Keep up the great work!

Hayden A. - 3/4K

This award goes to Hayden for the perseverance he has demonstrated in PONT Maths this week. Hayden has been learning many new skills such as using the split strategy and solving long multiplication problems. Hayden has tried his best with every task and if his answer was incorrect he revised the steps and process he followed until he found where he had made an error. What a fantastic attitude to have to your learning Hayden!

Aaliyah L. - 3/4K

This award goes to Aaliyah for showing excellence in writing. When generating ideas for her persuasive text about her favourite specialist subject, she didn't give up and wrote a variety of great arguments. Aaliyah, this focussed and positive attitude towards your learning is fantastic! Keep it up!

This award goes to Kai for his persistence when learning new maths strategies this week. Kai demonstrated his ability to use the jump strategy and the split strategy to solve addition and subtraction problems. Well done Kai.

Congratulations on a good start to 2023 Emily. You have settled into our classroom and you’re looking to put your best foot forward across the curriculum. I was particularly impressed with the efforts you put into your narrative writing this week, editing it until it was right. You carry out your leadership roles with enthusiasm which is a fantastic trait to have. Keep up the good work Emily.

Ethan C. - 5/6D

Ethan is to be celebrated for completing three very interesting introduction examples in writing this week. Students were asked to follow author Anh Do’s introduction style, which Ethan was successful in doing. His use of descriptive language really helped engage the reader. Well done, Ethan! I look forward to reading the rest of your narrative.

This award goes to Logan for his kind, caring and thoughtful nature. Over the last few weeks, Logan has demonstrated on many occasions that he thinks of others. He offers to help people when they are in need and if he finds a piece of property left outside, he is eager to make sure it is returned to the right person. You are wonderful Logan! I am so proud to be your teacher this year!

 Dante K.  - Performing Arts

Congratulations Dante for achieving the Performing Arts Award. You demonstrated accuracy and fluency with your chord formation and chord changes on the ukulele, even doing it with your eyes closed. Well done!

Jaxx W. - Mandarin

This award acknowledges and congratulates Jaxx for trying his best in his learning. We were doing origami, making paper rabbits, and Jaxx worked very hard on it. Great start to the year, Jaxx!
