Hi Ripper Families,

I am Millie, one of your 2023 school captains!

I hope you all had a great holiday and, like me, are super excited for the school year ahead at Ripponlea Primary School.

I have so many ideas and I am sure all you do too. Here are some fun facts about me:

  • I love dogs but I am not allowed to get one
  • I love to tell jokes and make people laugh
  • I am super friendly and love to chat. So if you have any ideas please feel free to come and say hi!

Hi Ripper Families,

My name is Aurora and I'm one of the new school captains. As someone who is open to new ideas and always welcomes feedback, I will make sure I am always pushing myself to create new possibilities.

I love art and drawing, so something I hope to accomplish this year is a student mural that everyone gets to help with!

I also have two siblings at RPS, my brother is in Year 3 and my sister is in Foundation.

I can't wait to work with everyone in the RPS community this year!

We asked some RPS Students and staff what they were most looking forward to in 2023. Here are their answers !

'Having a prep buddy! I can't wait to help them and get to know them all in the next couple of weeks!' - Olive Year 6

'Art classes and researching different artists.' - Daghda Year 6

'Art classes and creating art in my own style.' - Lula Year 5

'5/6 Sport! Playing softball and tennis against other schools and in PE!' - Fraser Year 5

'School camp and swimming carnival! I really want to make it to district trials !' - Vivienne Year 5

'School Camp. I can't wait to try new games and hopefully another giant swing like last year.' - Parker Year 5

'School camp and hopefully going ziplining (if there is one). I also want to be able to share a cabin with my friends.' - Ruby Year 3

'School camp! As I want to see if there are any new activities to try like the giant swing or ziplining !' - George Year 3

'School play and learning new dance moves. Also the Big Night In! I can't wait to watch movies, stay up late and eat pizza for breakfast!' - Dottie Year 2

'The Big Night In! I can't wait to watch movies with all my friends.' - Gabriel Year 2

'I'm excited for Camp and Graduation this year! I'm going to try my best not to cry!' - Sarah Year 5/6 Teacher

'I am looking forward to working in Foundation and giving our newest members of the school a great start to the year!' - Mr Blake, Foundation Teacher

'I'm looking forward to my class meeting my son at the Welcome Picnic and also for the school play later this year.' Ms Clover, Year 1/2 Teacher
