NAPLAN

The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy, (NAPLAN), for Years 7 and 9 students will be held from Wednesday, March 15. NAPLAN tests assess student knowledge and skills in Writing, Reading, Language Conventions, (spelling, grammar and punctuation), and Numeracy.

 

NAPLAN is scheduled for the following dates:

Year 7   
 Wednesday 15 March Writing
 Thursday 16 March Reading 
 Friday 17 March Conventions of Language
 Monday 20 March Numeracy 
Year 9   
 Wednesday 15 MarchWriting
 Thursday 16 MarchReading
 Friday 17 MarchConventions of Language
 Tuesday 21 MarchNumeracy

 

All Year 7 and Year 9 students are expected to participate in the NAPLAN tests. Catch-up tests will be available for individual students on Friday, March 24.

 

Later in the year, parents will receive their child’s personal NAPLAN report. The report will describe your child’s particular skills in Reading, Writing, Language Conventions, (spelling, grammar and punctuation), and Numeracy. The report will also show how your child performed in relation to the national minimum standards. These describe the minimum acceptable standards for students across Australia.
