Indonesian

In the first four weeks of Indonesian, students have enjoyed decorating our new LOTE room, making front covers for their LOTE books and completing Starting Right activities. They have been introduced to their new topics, which they will continue with over the next few weeks. It has been great to see students making use of the displays around the room and hearing them use the Indonesian language to communicate.

Visual Arts

In the first four weeks of visual arts, students have explored drawing and portraits. The Preps have created stunning oil pastel self-portraits while Grade 1 has showcased their creativity with animal portraits. Meanwhile, Grade 2 students have experimented with soft pastels to produce abstract self-portraits. We are excited to see what the rest of the term has in store for us.

STEM

During the first few weeks of term students have been focussing on getting into routines in the classroom and working out in the garden! Grade 4-6 students created some amazing outdoor art using symmetry by creating mandalas using natural materials. Grade 6 students have also enjoyed turning their tomatoes into passata.
