Big Expedition

In the time while being here at snowy we have gone on two expos (expedition), we went on Expo One a couple of weeks ago and then we also had another expo this past week!

The last expo we went on was a three day, two night hike/canoe and we all feel like everyone did very well in completing it.  It was a very cold and wet expo there was some rain and heaps of low temperatures. 

On the first day, we did roughly 15km of canoeing down the Snowy River. While we were on the Snowy, we faced a heap of rough waves as the wind was pushing us in the opposite direction. We then stopped at the Little Snowy and put the canoes onto the trailer. 

Afterwards, we hiked up a hill where we camped in a cow paddock for two nights. There was a shed that we used for fires, lunches and dinners. 

On the second day of the expo we went on a canoe down to the Cabbage Tree Creek and then to a place where there was a dock but now is covered by water. Then we went back to camp and we had some free time.

On the last day, we walked about 10kms back to the Snowy River campus. Then expo was done. 

Everyone had a good time and enjoyed the camping trip!
