Tālofa lava! Afio mai!
Last week was Samoan Language Week, and at left is Maia in her beautiful outfit.
This week is Support Staff Week, and we celebrated our truly awesome team with an equally awesome morning tea catered by Julie and Kath from our tuck shop.
Sadly (stupidly) I somehow forgot to get a photo - my sincere apologies.
Our Support Staff number around 20 at any given time, and without them, we simply would not be able to do our job, let alone do it to the standard we do.
I often talk about the amazing staff team we have here - this team is the reason for our exceptional reputation and record as a school. On your behalf, I thank each one.
Debbie King, Julie Owen, Monique Talbot, Bronwyn Hunter, Carol Key, Crystal Osmond, Emerald Webb, Georgia Spears, Grace King, Jan Southgate, Jessica Song, Kaitlyn Elliot, Karamea Matthes, Linda McAlpine, Nic Yelash, Rebecca Alexander, Sandy Anderson, Sandy Williamson, Sharon Eivers, Siala Clarke, Stephanie Moir, Shane Thomas, Joanne Hodder, Vanda Robertson
Also, this week teachers Julie Grant and Mele James decided we should celebrate the Queen's Jubilee. They did all the hard work decorating our staffroom and providing a delicious and very English morning tea - Toad in the Hole and Scones with cream and jam for example. We did our bit by standing for a rendition of 'God Save the Queen' - not all of it because we were hungry - and then tucked in. This time I remembered to take a photo.
My very best regards to you all as always,
Ash Maindonald
Principal.
