Hola y bienvenidos a Agua Salada

In our Spanish lessons our students are constantly reviewing and expanding upon previously learned vocabulary and then using this in genuinely communicative activities using what they know in a meaningful way. Students are using phrases and questions that are helping them to increase their Spanish input in class, as well as express their needs and share their thoughts in Spanish.

Prep to year 2 Students continued practicing vocabulary such as:

Hola (Hello) to the teacher and class piers

Buenos días (Good morning)

Singing and dancing to head, shoulders, knees and toes to learn the parts of the body in Spanish.

Using the school-based app to practice numbers, colours and following directions in Spanish.

We have also been learning how to express our feelings in Spanish and students worked on a clock that enable them to show the teacher how they feel during the Spanish lessons.

Years 3 and 4 ongoing weekly lessons.

Student continue practicing their Spanish vocabulary such as:

Greeting teachers and peers in Spanish

Hola, Buenos días, Adios

Asking and responding simple questions in Spanish

¿Cómo te llamas? (What is your name)

¿Cuántos años tienes? (How old are you?)

¿Puedo ir al baño? (Can I go to the toilet?)

Adiós” and waving goodbye

In the past week’s students have been learning and practicing the 5 W’s and one H in Spanish,

making and playing a chatterbox game to ask and respond questions in Spanish.
