Breakfast Club is back

We have had the first delivery of the year from Food Bank in preparation for recommencing our ‘Breakfast Club’. Foodbank supports programs that give students the opportunity to eat a wholesome, nutritious breakfast on a regular basis. Having breakfast has been shown to have a positive impact on factors such as physical and mental health, social skills, concentration, behaviour, attendance, and academic outcomes.

Our secondary school nurse, Tess, is looking for student volunteers to assist with running ‘Breakfast Club’. Please see wellbeing staff in M11 if you are interested in helping with this.  Keep an eye out for updates about ‘Breakfast Club’ times and venue.

Where to access support over the holidays

The holidays are almost here and although they are often seen as the happiest time of the year, holidays can be a hard time for a lot of people. It’s okay to reach out to your friends or family during the holidays, and remember there is support available from other agencies.

The Student Wellbeing Team hope that you have a safe and relaxing break and look forward to  supporting you and your family in Term 3.
