State Cross Country

Congratulations to Cooper J (SLD) who is running in the State Cross Country today.  We wish him all the best of luck. Go Cooper !! 

Interschool Sports Finals

Congratulations to the Mixed Netball Teams, both Blue and Red, who won their games last term in their respective Pools.  Now we have to play off the Red team against the Blue team to see who goes through to the Division finals next Friday, being played at The Nets at HE Parker Reserve.  We wish both teams the best of luck in their semi-final.  Thank you to Miss Fraser who is organising the playoff.

Well done also to the Cricket Blue Girls Team, Hot Shots Red Tennis team, Volleyball Red team who all won their games from Term 1 and the Volleybounce Mixed Blue Team from Term 2.  All these teams will be playing in the Division finals in Term 4. to the Division finals which will be held in Term 4. 

Team Vic Cricket Team

Back in Term 1, we had quite a few students compete in the Team Vic trials for different sports.  A big congratulations to Jasmine F ( SRT) who competed in the Girls Cricket Competition in June last term at the MCG.  Jas is now through to the State Finals Cricket Trials, which will be held in September.  This is a very high level of competition with girls from all over Victoria now competing for a spot in the Team Vic Cricket Team which will play at a National level later in November.  Good luck Jas, we wish you all the very best.

House Athletics Sports

The House Athletics Sports are coming up, with the Middles being held today at the Ringwood Track.  The Seniors are competing next Tuesday.  Thank you to Mrs Yorke for organising this.  If there are any parents who can help out at the Senior Athletics Day, please let Mrs Yorke or the Office know, as the more hands on deck, the easier the day becomes.  Thank you very much to all the parents who have already contacted Laura to help out on the day.  Good luck to all the kids, as the results from the races will be used to for the District Athletics Sports coming up in September. 

Running Club

Running club will be starting again on a Monday morning before school (weather dependent), so if you would like to build your fitness, come and join us next Monday 18th July at 8:45am at the spider web on the Junior oval.

Athletics Clinic

This week, the Preps and Juniors participated in an Athletics Clinic during their PE lesson with Rob Belli from Little Athletics Victoria.  Students were introduced to three different focus skills:  running, jumping and throwing, to help with different Athletics events such as sprinting, long jump and shot put.  If your child is interested in joining Little Athletics for the upcoming season in September, you can visit littleathletics.com.au for more information.
