Beaumaris Primary School is having it’s 

Annual Scholastic Book Fair!

When: Monday 14th August – Thursday 17th August

Where: BPS Library

Classroom Visits:  Your child will have a chance to visit the Scholastic Book Fair during the week with their class. They will be given a Wish List where they can record any book title/s they would like to purchase and the price of the book/s.

Online Sales: Parents can purchase books by using the Scholastic Online Payment Portal. More information about this process will follow.

Morning Sales: The BPS Library will also be open for morning sales on Monday 14th August – Thursday 17th August, 8.30am-8.55am.

The Scholastic Book Fair is the major fundraiser for our school library for the year. Sales from the Scholastic Book Fair help Beaumaris Primary School earn Scholastic Vouchers that we use to purchase new books for our school library. We really appreciate your support for our BPS Book Fair!

Class Open Morning - Maths

Yesterday we welcomed parents and carers into our classrooms, giving them a chance to witness our students in action during a captivating maths problem-solving lesson. Throughout the session, our classroom teachers facilitated the development of mathematical thinking, evident in the students' engagement and the insightful questions they posed. The lesson commenced with an open-ended question that stimulated critical thinking. Following that, the students had five minutes of independent work, during which they applied various problem-solving strategies. Next, they were invited to collaborate with their peers to explore the problem further, culminating in a valuable summary of the lesson where students were able to share their thought processes. We extend our gratitude to all the parents and carers who attended the session and hope it was an enjoyable and enriching experience for everyone involved.
