Our Preps celebrate 100 days!

Last Wednesday was a joyous celebration of our 100 days with our Prep students. They really have been magnificent and we are looking forward to many, many more days with them!

Next Thursday - Parent Consultation Evening

We were so pleased by the number of parents and carers who visited classes to observe our Maths lessons and learn how we teach problem-solving. There will be more opportunities for our community as learners next term.

In the meantime our Parent Consultation Evening is at 7pm on Thursday 10th August. We have looked at last year's Parent Opinion Survey to identify 5 areas for us to review: Behavioural Education, Communication, Learning Support,  Reporting and Assessment, and School Improvement. On the evening you will be able to join focus groups (around 20 minutes each) to discuss three of these topics of your choice.

For our planning please register your intention to attend and which three focus groups you would like to join at the following link:

2023 Parent Opinion Survey

Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents and carers think of our school. The Parent Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional but we encourage all families to participate. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

All families are invited to participate in the survey. The Survey will be open from Wednesday 9th August to Friday 8 September 2023. The survey will be conducted online and only takes 20 minutes to complete.  The link will be sent via Compass shortly.

Our Uniform

We understand that many of our students are given responsibility to dress for school in the mornings. We support families in their efforts to teach self responsibility, time management and self care. However we notice at school that there are a few emerging substitutions and variations to the school uniform.  The photos below show the permitted clothing items which are part of our uniform.

Please ensure the children select the correct school uniform items from the drawer when they get ready for school each morning. Maybe a dedicated, exclusively school uniform drawer will be a great support to them throughout the week.

We ask too that the students understand that watches and stud earrings or sleepers are the only acceptable jewellery to be worn to school.

The Beaumaris PS Dress Code can be found on our website and has been approved by School Council. It will be reviewed by school council at the end of this year.
