Justin is the co-host and parenting expert on Channel 9's Parental Guidance, the founder of happyfamilies.com.au, and one of Australia’s most trusted parenting experts. He holds a PhD in Positive Psychology.

 

Over the past decade he has helped innumerable families with his 9 books about raising children, his hundreds of media appearances (including all of Australia’s major news outlets, and even the Washington Post and the New York Times), and two viral videos that have been viewed a combined 80 million times!

This free parent session will explore ADHD explaining what it is and what it isn't, and will offer strategies, tips, and solutions to support parents, strengthen relationships and build family bonds.

 

This presentation will:

  • Explain what ADHD is, and is not
  • Unpack why ADHD is so controversial
  • Review science-supported strategies to help parents guide ADHD children successfully
  • Provide practical solutions to help create willing participation in family life with an ADHD child
  • Offer family-strengthening tips to support parents, strengthen relationships, and build bonds

This free parent session will reveal the psychological secrets to building your child’s sense of identity, highlighting strengths, and nurturing a growth mindset. Based on Dr. Justin Coulson’s best-selling book 9 Ways to a Resilient Child, this session explains how we can help our children cope powerfully and positively with life's challenges.

Term 3 Chapels and Assemblies

Families are welcome to come along to the Church for Chapel on Wednesday mornings from 9am and to the hall for Assemblies on Friday mornings from 9am. Chapel and Assemblies will continue to be livestreamed on our closed group on Facebook each week, if you need help accessing this, please pop in for a chat.

School volunteers

If you wish to be a volunteer at St Paul Lutheran, you can speak with our admin team and a pack can be emailed or sent home with your child. All volunteers require a valid WWCC clearance and need to complete the Valuing Safe Communities training. If you have any questions, please contact Jess Robinson jrobinson@stpaulba.sa.edu.au Please note that we will be relying on parent volunteers this term and next term to ensure our class excursions can go ahead. If you would like to assist on these days you will need to be a registered volunteer with an up to date WWCC, signed registered volunteer form and up to date Valuing Safe Communities training.
