Notice of Intent

The College understands that circumstances may change throughout the year and can impact a family’s ability to remain part of the College community.

The College will request families to complete a Notice of Intent to let the College know if students are continuing their enrolment in 2024 or concluding their enrolment at the end of 2023. This helps the College understand our student numbers to appropriately allocate classes and resources for next year. The Notice of Intent will be sent to families this term via email; a response will be required for every student, both continuing and withdrawing. If you indicate a withdrawal on your Notice of Intent, we ask families to share the reason for withdrawing, provide a last day at school and new school details, which is required for student transfers.

The College’s Terms of Enrolment requires parents to provide one full term’s written notice of withdrawal. This means if a student is concluding at the end of the year, written notice is required by the end of Term 3. If the required notice is not provided, any refundable Establishment fees paid upon enrolment will become non-refundable and a full term’s fees will be charged (Term 1 2024 fees). The Terms of Enrolment are available for your reference on our website.

Student departures during the term

If there are immediate changes in family circumstances and a student needs to withdraw from the College during the term, parents will need to provide written notice of withdrawal to the College as soon as possible. Withdrawal notices during the term can be provided in writing to the Homeroom Teacher, Head of Year and the College’s Admission team admissions@aitkencollege.edu.au. As part of your notice, we ask families to share the reason for withdrawing and provide information regarding the last day at school and new school details, this is required for student transfers.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Admissions team at admissions@aitkencollege.edu.au
