Visual Arts
The Visual Art faculty has been progressively documenting work for this year’s P – 12 exhibition, to be presented in a new format that I am excited to share with all, come October. With no onsite space available any longer to display our whole school collection, this new and exciting exhibition program will see Aitken step into the future with its display methods. Curious? I hope so.
In preparation, students have been creating amazing pieces for assessment and display. I am pleased to share a sneak peak of the Yr 11 VCD students in action and a couple of their final pieces, along with some Yr 9 watercolour paintings, Yr 4 pastel and watercolour drawings and a beautiful collaborative Yr 2 installation, a display that demonstrates the term ‘many hands make light work’ and celebrates how a community can bring work to life.
Congratulations to Lucas T, Yr 7, who cleverly promoted himself to win this years Viewer’s Choice Award for his age group in the Staedtler Arts Competition. Well done, Lucas!
Enjoy 😊
