Prep - 2 Community

It has been a wonderful term across the years Prep to 2. The significant moment of 100 days in Prep is a great milestone and in year 1 and 2 Term 3 really lets us see the growth and development each child is showing. Our 3 Way conferences, I am sure, impressed the many parents who took the opportunity to share their child's learning achievements.

Term 3 was also a busy term being immersed in studies around animals.

Prep Excursion - Butleigh Farm

Preps from every campus had a wonderful excursion to Butleigh Farm in the first few weeks of this term. They enjoyed listening to the picture story book about the farm and meeting all the animals. The Farm has books and items that parents can purchase  if they found that their child has developed a keen interest in farms and animals.

Max TA2 - The sheep were so soft and they licked my hand.

Ivy TA1 - I liked feeding the sheep. I go to pat and feed the goat.

Mia TA1 - I liked the chickens because I got to feed them.

1/2 Werribee Zoo Excursion - 

The 1/2s were lucky enough to visit the Werribee Zoo to explore African Savannah and learn about the different types of animals that live there while observing their features.

Literacy 

In Literacy students have been reading and writing for lots of different purposes both fiction and non-fiction. 

Peyton  - We have been learning about captions in non-fiction texts

Ethan  - I have been learning about cats. Cat’s have sharp claws and cat scratch people

Toby  - We have been learning about animals, I got to go up at assembly and share last Friday.

Maths 

Ethan  - In Maths we have been talking about 3D shapes and they take up space

Peyton - I have like playing friends of 10 snap with the cards

Toby  - I have been learning about 3D shapes like cylinders 

100 DAYS

One of the main prep milestones is 100 Days. Our preps this term reached the 100 days at school milestone and across the campuses it was another reason for dressing up!
