Victor Change Science Awards

The Victor Chang School Science Awards were established to celebrate young, gifted students excelling in science, honouring Dr Victor Chang's legacy in fostering education.

Some of Blacktown City’s brightest young minds were recognised for their achievements in science with special awards thanks to a partnership between the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and Blacktown City Council. Congratulations to our Year 11 students Nawsherwan Nawsherwan and Praveen Ekanayake, who were both nominated for this prestigious award.

Science Lessons

Year 9 students have been learning some interesting things in Science this term, including studying parts of the brain. This involved dissecting brains to see the various parts that make up this fascinating organ. Beware - the photos below are not for the faint-hearted. Well done Year 9!
